The laptop will not respond or show any signs of of turning on when power button is pressed
If you have have plug in your adapter and there is a light but your computer only stays on as long as it plug in you should replace the battery.
If there is no light showing where the battery symbol is shown then you will need to replace the adapter.
Certain or all keys are not performing their designated function.
If you press onto a key and it doesn’t go down there maybe something stuck under the keypad. You will need to use your finger or other small tool to gently lift the cap off of the key and access the area below it. Gently wipe the key to remove any debris and put the cap back on the key. If you would like to avoid removing keys you can attempt to clean below it using an aerosol duster spray with an extended nozzle.
If there are any keys missing from the keyboard then you will need to replace the missing keys using this guide.
The keyboard ribbon cable may have disconnected. To reconnect it you must reconnect the ribbon cable.
Computer crashes while performing tasks without battery dying.
If you notice that your computer is crashing during normal operation or during a memory task or beeps at you and will not boot up this means that you have a bad ram or that you don’t have enough RAM. Therefore you will want to install a higher tier RAM onto your computer.
This could happen if the user is shutting down the computer by holding down the power button instead of using the shutdown sequence. To fix this use a Windows dvd for the appropriate the version of Windows on your computer. Boot the DVD and choose ->repair your computer -> next -> startup repair. This should fix the issue that you were having if not then you will need to replace your hard drive.
Computer will not run certain programs.
If you go to download something or try to run a program and you get a error code it is possible you are missing certain components to use said program. Usually the error will tell you what you don’t have therefore you will need to uninstall and reinstall the program or download the missing pieces.
If you still see or have issue with said program then you should take your computer into a store that works on computer or you will need to wipe your computer and reboot everything. If that is the case make sure you have everything that you want to keep storage in a flash drive so you don’t lose it.
Computer feels extremely hot.
If your computer is overheating over simple program running you might want to check your fan vents to make sure there isn’t anything blocking the vets. Simply take a cloth or a small q-tip and gentle wipe any dust or anything that may be causing the issue.
If the problem still continues while using the computer then you will want to take your computer in to get checked out because the longer you let it go like that the more harm it could do to your computer.
Unable to Navigate on your Device by Using the Touchpad.
To enable your touchpad on the device use a Fn key plus a function key in order to check if the touchpad is disabled. If these steps do not work then it would be beneficial to attach an external mouse in order to navigate through your device to the touchpad properties.
