When using the device it doesn’t pick up routing information

Before using the device you should make sure you sync the device to your Garmin Connect account. If this step hasn’t been completed, then the device has not got the chance to download several days of satellite data and will cause GPS issues. Connect the device with a USB to the computer and begin to sync the device to you Garmin Connect mobile app using your Bluetooth enable smartphone. While connected to your Garmin Connect account the device downloads satellite data, allowing it to quickly locate satellite signals.

Device will either not turn not, or not stay powered on.

If the power button has fallen off, or fails to power on the device, try replacing it.

If the battery is draining quickly, try one of the following: Minimize back light, disconnect Bluetooth, and turn on auto sleep. If the battery continues to drain quickly, replace the battery by following this guide here.

If the device randomly shuts down, follow this guide here to replace the battery.

When plugging Garmin edge 1000, the device does not register the power supply.

If the device does not charge when plugged into a USB cable, try plugging the device into a different USB cable. Also, ensure that the USB cable is completely plugged into the Edge 1000, as well as a wall charging port.

If a faulty USB cable has been ruled out, replace the charging port.
