You are unable to touch the screen and complete any actions or tasks.

In order to fix this issue, update to the most recent version available on the notebook. If this does not work, replace the screen.

A main reason the touch screen does not respond right away is due to the computer trying to save power if you have not used it in 10+ seconds. To get to this setting: Open up “Device Manager” in Control Panel» Expand “Human Interface Device”» Double click “FCL USB Pen Tablet”» Choose “power Management” tab» uncheck “allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”

Loading pages and applications takes longer than it should.

To find out if this is the issue, Click “start”» right click “Computer”» click on “manage”» expand “event viewer”» click on “Windows Logs”» double click on “system”» look for critical errors that refer to the “disk” and check for resulting information. You can try fixing these issues through “disk check” utility. If this does not fix the issue, try replacing the hard drive through the guide here.

Install a licensed antivirus software and scan the computer in order to detect and remove any viruses. Click on My Computer » C: Drive» properties» Clean Disk» OK

The keys on your keyboard do not respond to commands.

To fix this problem with your keyboard, push the “Power” button on the right side of your LifeBook to turn it it off, and then press it again to restart the computer.

Locate the square trackpad on the top right side of your LifeBook, and use the mouse to quit the application. Once your keyboard is functioning again, you can reload the application.

You can’t hear the sound coming from your computer.

On the left side of your LifeBook, there is a volume control knob. Look at the knob to make sure that the volume setting is on the loud side rather than mute.

Check to see if you left a pair of headphones plugged into the headphone jack. If they are plugged in, this disables the built in speakers from playing sound out loud.

Even though software comes installed on your Fujitsu LifeBook, there may be an error inside of the computer with the sound. If this is the problem, the LifeBook should have come with a “Drivers and Applications” CD with purchase. Use this CD in order to restore the Audio Driver and follow the documentation directions to fix the problem.

Your computer dies too quickly and doesn’t charge properly.

If your battery has overheated, try replacing the battery in your computer through the guide here. To preserve your LifeBook’s battery life, make sure that the battery does not get too hot (you will be able to tell that it is overheating when the computer feels hot).

Use a power adaptor when using this application if at all possible. Quit any other applications that are open and you are not currently using to preserve the battery power for a longer period of time.

A high level of brightness for extended periods of time will drain the battery life quickly. Go to settings, search for the tab entitled “Display” and then turn down the dial that controls brightness.

Use the latch on the underside of your device to unlock the battery. The battery is the black bar protruding from the back of the LifeBook that easily slides out from the device when you pull the latch and battery at the same time. Then slide the battery back into the device to see if it works. See the guide here for more information.
