The display does not turn on and the view does not show anything.
The most obvious and simplest symptom could be dead batteries. Consider replacing the batteries using this simple guide.
If replacing the batteries does not work, check the battery leads and connections. The connections may have been corroded due to the batteries corroding. If this is the case, you can replace the battery leads and connections using this guide.
If you know the camera is on, the screen itself is faulty. You can replace the screen using the simple guide.
The battery door will not close. The door does not click into place.
The door may not have closed completely due to improper insertion of the batteries that are pushing against the door. If this is not the issue, the latches may have snapped off. You can detach the door and replace it using this guide.
The camera will not power up.
The batteries may be dead. You can refer to the Display Troubleshooting section on how to replace the batteries.
The power button does not engage completely. Use this guide to replace the power button.
The LCD screen is showing a blue screen.
There may not be a Storage Device (SD) card in the camera. Check to see if there is one in the camera.
If there is an SD card in the camera, the motherboard may be faulty. This guide will help you replace the motherboards.
The microphone is not receiving any sound.
Your hand could be covering the microphone on the side of the camera. Ensure the microphone is not being obstructed.
If the microphone is not blocked, covered, or otherwise hindered, it most likely is broken. You can replace the microphone using this guide.
