The device can record video, but does not seem to be recording any audio
The software that controls the audio driver may have crashed. Restarting the device will run the software again. Sometimes the device just needs a reboot in order to function properly again.
The microphone portion may have become loose inside the device or even damaged.
The camera powers on, but the screen is unresponsive or won’t turn on.
If your camera is on but unresponsive, hold down the power button for 10 seconds to restart the device.
The screen component may have loosened from the mother board or maybe even damaged.
Device will not Power On nor looks like it is Functional
Make sure that the Power Button is not stuck and if it is please refer to
Ensure that the batteries are fully charged or make sure that it is put in correctly. Make sure that you have the exact type of batteries, in this case double AA batteries and that they are facing in the correct directions indicated by the indications on the case.
Computer doesn’t recognize the camera when plugged in
Make sure there is nothing inside the USB connector. Ensure that the inside is clean and if any dirt or debris is preventing a connection please remove carefully.
Sometimes the USB may not be functional or it may be very old. If its a very old USB drive please consider on buying a new one for the old one may corrupt the files.
The USB part of the camera may have lifted off the motherboard slightly, causing a severed connection. Please refer to this guide.
Some devices plugged into the computer cause others to become unrecognizable. Unplug any other USB device and try again.
The buttons do not want to cooperate
Check to make sure that none of the buttons are stuck and make sure that there isn’t any sticky substance that got into the device. Fix the button using this guide.
