  • Grasp the shelf on each end and lift each straight up.
  • Disengage the two hooks from the molded tabs on the liner.
  • Inspect to make sure they are not damaged.

  • Remove any tape that was holding the shelf bar together.

  • Clean the shelf using dish detergent and water.
  • Remove any tape residue with a scouring pad.

  • Take a paper towel or towel and dry off the shelf bar.

  • Try fitting the pieces together to make sure that the pieces are intact and that nothing is missing.

  • Spread the Loctite 60 Sec Universal glue along the edge of both sides of the bar.

  • Carefully join the pieces together and hold them tight for two minutes.
  • Tape the pieces together with blue painter’s tape.
  • The tape comes off easily without leaving any gluey residue.

  • Leave the shelf to dry for ten minutes.
  • Once the glue dries, take the blue painter’s tape off.

  • Take the shelf bar and line the hooks over the tabs and press it firmly back into the refrigerator door.
  • Do not place too much pressure on the shelf, so it won’t crack again.

After completing all the steps for repairing the refrigerator shelf bar, the refrigerator shelf bar will be all new. However, be gentle with the shelf bar. Do not place much pressure on it or it will break again.
