What you need

Step 1

              Speaker               
  • Make sure to unplug the power cord!
  • Take off the back panel by unscrewing the four Phillips head screws on the back of the amplifier.
  • Keep the screws in a safe place and mark what part they are for.

  • Make sure to unplug the power cord and have the amplifier turned off.
  • Unplug the audio cable running from the port labeled “INT. Speakers” to the audio speakers.
  • You should know have clean access to the speakers.

Step 3

  • Locate the wire leads on the speaker that you are replacing. Notice that there are three wires and four connections.
  • Note where each wire goes. (White is positive and black is negative.
  • Remove the wires from the speaker leads.

Step 4

  • Remove all the screws on the perimeter of the speaker. Use locking pliers to remove the nuts. There are eight bolts holding the speaker in place.
  • Pull the old speaker off of the board and insert the new speaker the same way you removed the old one.
  • When tightening the nuts back down on the bolts, be sure to tighten them by alternating, working in diagonals. (i.e. once you tighten one down go diagonal from it and work on the next one.
  • Repeat with the other speaker if necessary.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Am I missing a step here? You have the chassis in the way to access to speakers. Do u remove the chassis or do you remove the tolex with the speakers attached to it? Thanks
