              Heating Plate               
  • Use your fingers or a plastic opening tool to open the side hinges on both sides of the device.

  • Using a Philips head #2 screwdriver remove the 7mm black screw from the hinge of the device.

Step 3

  • Using the metal spudger, push through the hole the screw was removed from. Doing this will push the copper pin out of the other side.
  • When the pin is removed the two sides of the device can now separate.
  • Be sure to collect the spring that is next to the hinge when they are separated.

Step 4

  • Using Philips head (PH1) remove the 6 mm black screw that was underneath the spring as well as the 6 mm black screw next to the heating plate. Remove the panel the screws were holding down.

Step 5

  • Using Philips head (PH1) remove the two 4 mm silver screws on the sides of dial panel cover

  • Using Philips head (PH00) to remove the 4 mm silver screw on the dial. Remove the dial with your hand.

  • Remove the covering panel by pulling up with your hand.

  • Desolder the 4 white wires to remove the heating plate on the motherboard side.

  • Remove 3 sliver screws (3mm) (PH1) from the motherboard.

  • Desolder the 2 white cables to remove the heating plate on the side of the iron without the motherboard.
