Introduction
Follow this guide to replace the brush roll on your Eureka 169 J 2-in-1 Quick-Up bagless stick vacuum cleaner.
Before beginning this guide, turn off the vacuum and unplug it from the outlet.

- Unplug the vacuum from the outlet.

- Use a damp paper towel to clean the bottom of the vacuum of any debris.

- Flip the vacuum over so the bottom is facing up.
- Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the four 3.0 mm screws.
- Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the two 4.2 mm screws.

Step 4
- Pull the bottom and top cover of the brush roll compartment apart.
- Internal components of the vacuum may fall out during this step, so keep track of where they are located for reassembly.

Step 5
- Lift the brush roll out of the vacuum.
- The brush roll is connected to two white placeholders on both left and right sides. To remove these, pull them away from the brush roll.

- Thoroughly clean the inside of the vacuum with a damp paper towel and let it dry.

Step 7
- To replace the brush roll, attach the two white placeholders on both ends of the brush roll and set them into the corresponding slots.
- The slots are located on the left and right ends of the bottom cover.

Step 8
- Reattach the cover and screw it back into place using a Phillips #2 screwdriver.
- The two 4.2 mm Phillips #2 screws go in the two middle bottom holes.
- The four 3.0 mm Phillips #2 screws go in the side holes.

Plug in your device and test it to ensure that you have reassembled it correctly.
