What you need

Step 1

              Locate the access panel               
  • The ethernet diagnostics port is located behind the drivers side instrument panel cover.
  • The plastic panel is secured by 3 metal flex trim clips. Using an appropriate pry tool pry backwards at the points indicated

Step 2

              Disconnect the key fob antenna               
  • After opening the side panel, hold onto the cover until you disconnect the key fob antenna connector. Failure to do so could cause excessive strain on the wiring
  • Reach into the opening to feel for the diagnostic cable, if you have never had the car serivced it may be tucked down into the recess
  • There should only be one cable with a circular white connector

Step 3

              Connect the service cable               
  • Pull out the connector, but be careful, since there is not much slack in the cable. This is part of a large and expensive wiring harness.
  • Connect the FakraHSD to Ethernet cable until you hear a click.
  • To disconnect press down on the small finger and gently pull the connectors apart.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
