  • With your fingers, carefully pry off the back plastic casing. Starting at the corners is usually the easiest.

  • Remove all four screws surrounding the battery with a Phillips Head Screwdriver.
  • Carefully remove the battery from the device using the Metal Spudger tool to gently separate the battery by wedging it between the device and the battery.

Step 3

  • Carefully remove the solder that connects the battery wires to the device using the solder sucker tool and a soldering iron.
  • When using the soldering iron to heat the existing solder, do not damage the device or surrounding connections.
  • Once all solder is gone, remove the wires from the device to free the battery.

Step 4

  • Use the soldering iron to solder the wires from the new battery to the device.
  • The connections from the wires should go in order from left to right being white, black (negative), and red (positive), respectively.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
