  • With your fingers, carefully pry off the back plastic casing. Starting at the corners is usually the easiest.

  • Remove all four screws surrounding the battery with the screwdriver.
  • Carefully remove the battery from the device using the Metal Spudger tool to gently separate the battery by wedging it between the device and the battery.

Step 3

  • Remove the two screws that hold the audio jack in place. Carefully lift the audio jack out of the compartment.

Step 4

  • Use compressed air or a Q-tip to gently clear out the dirt from the inside of the audio jack. This will help make sure future connections are clear.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
