  • Disconnect any power source and/or turn off device.

  • Remove the 15 rubber plugs from the cavities using needle nose pliers.

  • Use a phillips head screwdriver to remove the fifteen 6.4mm screws.

  • Carefully separate the two sections of the frame.
  • Wires still connect the two sections. Be cautious to avoid damaging the wires, terminals, and electronics.

              Battery               
  • Disconnect the wiring to improve accessibility to the battery.

  • Remove the two screws that hold that bracket, securing the battery in place.

  • Disconnect the wires that hold the batteries down to the motherboard.

  • Pry the battery from the frame using your hands or an opening pick.

  • When removing and installing the battery, be cautious to not damage any of the surrounding electronics.
