Step 1
Disconnect the spark plug
- Move the stop switch into the “stop” position to turn the pruner off before attempting any repairs.
- Pull the spark plug cap straight off of the spark plug.

Remove the control handle assembly
- Use a T25 Torx screwdriver to loosen (but not remove) the two screws clamping the main pipe assembly to the control handle.

- Remove the control handle from the main pipe assembly.

Disassemble the control handle
- Use a T25 Torx screwdriver to remove the seven screws holding the control handle together.

- Lift the top half of the control handle straight up to remove it.
- The following step shows the throttle trigger and throttle lockout removed. These parts do not need to be removed for this guide.

Remove the control handle
- Use a T25 Torx screwdriver to loosen (but don’t remove) the screw clamping the strap hook to the handle pipe.
- You may need an 8 mm socket and socket wrench to hold the nut on the back of the strap hook while you loosen the bolt.
- Remove the two T25 screws securing the handle to the handle pipe.

- Slide the strap hook off the pipe and remove it.
- Slide both clamps that held the handle off of the pipe and remove them.

Remove the flexible tube
- Slide the flexible tube off of the handle pipe and remove it.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

The photos and instructions are great, but a video on how to dismantle and reassemble would be better. still shots cannot show the nuances of the reassembly.
