              Hose               

• Lift off the dust bin from the Dyson.

• Locate the removable hose on the back of the Dyson.
• Pull up on the hose in order to remove the top half of the hose.

• Locate the red tab on the frontside of Dyson.

Step 4

• Lift up the red tab with the screwdriver while simultaneously pulling on the back hose.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Following step 4, I tried to “lift” the red tab with my screwdriver. It did not budge. After enlarging the photo, I saw that the tab can be seen from both sides. Therefore, I tried “pushing” the red tab instead of “lifting” it, and it popped right off. “Lifting” and “pushing” are different actions.

I’ve taken the small hose out (in the picture, it is in the center at the bottom of the balls) now I cannot get it back in - at one point I thought I had it snapped back in but it didn’t stay - any ideas?
