What you need

              First Screws               
  • All the screws are the same in the controller (Phillips’s head).

              Opening the Case               
  • Use a plastic spudger to open the case. Try not to scratch the plastic.

              Open the 2 halves               
  • Be careful opening the case because there is a ribbon cable holding the 3 halves together.
  • The plastic for the lightbar will look different from mine because it’s fragile and it broke.

Step 4

              Battery               
  • Remove the battery and the screw underneath it.

              Touchpad Ribbon Cable               
  • The ribbon cable slots through the rectangular hole in the plastic beneath.

              Board               
  • Remove the board.

              You Are Done!               
  • You’re finished with your DualShock 4 dissasembly!
