Step 1

              Mark tube
  • Before adjusting the size of your tube, make sure you try adjusting the left side mounting nub. This guide is meant for users whose idle tubes are too long to fit after attempting to fit with the left-hand nub adjusted.
  • Measure the amount needed to remove in order to fit the shade in the wall mounts.
  • Measure and mark the distance needed to remove. Repeat this process to draw a circle around the entire tube.

              Shorten tube
  • Use a sander, hacksaw, or appropriate metal cutoff saw to shorten the tube to the desired length. Be sure to use the required safety procedures for your chosen method.

Step 3

              Replace left bearing cap
  • Replace the bearing cap and nub on the left side of the shade tube.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
