Step 1

              Disassembling Nokia 6236i Battery               
  • Using your thumb, apply pressure to the battery casing (below the camera). Firmly pull towards the bottom of the phone.
  • Lift the battery case off of the phone.

  • Use your thumb to get underneath the battery and pull up and out from the bottom of the battery tray.
  • The battery should lift out with minimal resistance.

Step 3

              Front Casing               
  • Locate the notch on the bottom right corner of the phone.
  • Slide the head of the screwdriver between the front silver casing and the black back side of the phone.
  • While inserted, slide the screwdriver towards the top edge of the phone.
  • The front casing should eventually pop off.

Step 4

              Keypad               
  • With the front casing removed, the keypad can easily be pulled off the back of the front casing.
  • In all probability, it will already have fallen out and no removal is required.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
