What you need

Step 1

              Interior Soldered Wire Connections               
  • The back panel (pictured left) has a black wire (end of wire circled red). The wire solders to the bottom right corner of the card drive.
  • The front panel (pictured right) has a black and red wire (end of wired circled green). This wire solders to a small circular spot next to where the black wire connects to the back (from above).

To open the leappad top start with, remove battery covers and the 6 screws.

The two halves slide, bottom half towards cartridge slot, to make it harder they have used double sided tape on the bottom platic tounges, so a scredriver in the bottom will be needed to prize the slide.

Good stuff. I’m trying to slide the back plate upward, but to no avail. You mentioned tape. Where exactly is it located?
