- Grasp the plastic cover and carefully pull straight back so that the clock cover dislodges from its housing.
- If any additional assistance is required for this step, it is recommended to use the plastic opening tool to help pry the edges of the cover simultaneously or a suction cup if you cannot grip the rim.

- Using your fingers, grasp the point where the hands of the clock meet in the center and pull straight back until they dislodge from the motor.
- Be sure that you remove all three hands as well as the pin that connects them in this one step. This component should come out as a single piece.
