Introduction
Before using this guide, refer to the DigiLand DL718M Troubleshooting page to find out if the battery is, in fact, the aspect of the device in need of replacement (as opposed to the power cord or another component that could be causing your device’s battery problems).
This process requires you to remove the back panel of the device and thus expose the motherboard. Be careful when working with an exposed motherboard as you could damage it, if it comes into contact with moisture. It is motion-sensitive, and small aspects can be easily jostled out of place.
Before you begin, make sure to power the tablet off completely and disconnect it from any external power source.
What you need

- Remove back panel by wedging the iFixit opening tool on all four sides of the device.

Battery
- Desolder the three wires (black, red, and white) that are attached to the motherboard.

- Wedge the iFixit opening tool between the battery and the metal plate beneath it, lifting the battery completely off the metal plate.

Step 4
- Remove the battery from the tablet.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
