Introduction
The motor assembly uses battery power to spin the chuck. A faulty motor will cause the Impact Driver to not work, have little power, or produce smoke when it’s being used.
Before using this guide, use this troubleshooting guide to make sure that the motor is the faulty part. Be sure that the battery is removed before fixing the Impact Driver.
What you need

- Press the battery release button at the top of the battery.

- Pull the battery away from the tool.

- Remove the eight 18 mm Torx Security #10 screws.

- Separate the two halves of the outer case. Set the empty side down and out of the way.

- Disconnect the connector from the motor assembly.

- Pull the motor away from the brush assembly.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
