Step 1

              Disassembling DeWalt D28110 Gear Case               
  • Using the T-15 screwdriver, remove the four 22-mm torx screws on the gear case.
  • Unplug the grinder before any disassembly.

  • Pull out the gear case.

              Pinion               
  • Using the T-15 screwdriver, remove the four torx screws.

Using the T-15 screwdriver, remove the four torx screws.

Step 4

  • Remove the gear case cover from the gear case.

Step 5

  • Using a 10-mm wrench, remove the hex nut by rotating counter-clockwise.

Using a 10-mm wrench, remove the hex nut by rotating counter-clockwise.

Step 6

  • Remove the armature assembly from the gear case.
  • Remove the pinion from the armature assembly.

Remove the armature assembly from the gear case.

Remove the pinion from the armature assembly.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
