Introduction
In this guide, we will be teaching you how to replace the brake on the D26451. You can purchase a replacement brake here.
What you need
Step 1
Pad
- Please wear safety glasses while completing this replacement guide.
- Insert the 60 mm extension into the screw driver which has the t15 torx bit installed in order to make a t-handle grip.
- Turn the screwdriver counter-clockwise to loosen all three screws in the disc pad.

Step 2
- Turn the disc pad over and remove the loosened screws.
- When the screws are removed, the disc pad will come off of the sander.

Brake

- Loosen and remove the three screws on the bottom of the sander that holds the disc pad to the bottom of the sander.

Step 4
- After the T20 torx bolts have been removed, remove the disc pad from the sander.

- When the disc pad is removed, the brake is located directly under it. Remove the brake from the sander.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
