              Removing Dell XPS 720 H2C Cover Panel               
  • Remove the cover panel on the side of the computer by pulling out the latch on the back panel and pulling the panel downwards towards the ground.

              Card Fan               
  • The card fan is located at the bottom left corner of the computer.
  • Remove the cable connecting the fan to the motherboard.
  • You will have to push a tiny lever on top of the connector and pull the cable to the left at the same time to remove the cable from the motherboard.

Step 3

  • Disconnect the fan from the cage housing by pressing down on the release triggers and pushing them to the right.

Step 4

  • Slide each corner of the fan cage off of the rubber grommets attached to the fan.
  • The rubber grommets may be difficult to remove. You have to squeeze the base of the grommet and pull the cage apart at the same time. The grommets should be pulled apart one at a time.
