What you need
Step 1
Remove the Screws
- Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer.

Removing the Base Cover
- Slide the base cover towards the front of the computer. Lift it up and away from the computer.
- If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

Disconnecting the Battery
- Lift the black cable-release clip to release the battery cable from the connector on the system board and disconnect the battery cable.

Remove Battery Screws
- Remove the screws that secure the battery to the computer.

Lift the Battery
- Lift the battery up and away from the computer.
- If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

LED Cover
- Starting on the right side of the system, use a plastic scribe to pry up the LED cover from the computer.

Removing the LED Cover
- Pull the LED cover toward the keyboard and remove it from the computer.
- If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

Memory Module
- Use your fingertips to spread apart the securing clips on each end of the memory module connector until the memory module pops up.

- Remove the memory module from its connector on the system board by drawing the module from the system board at 45-degree angle.
- If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.
