Step 1

              Remove the Screws               
  • Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer.

              Removing the Base Cover               
  • Slide the base cover towards the front of the computer. Lift it up and away from the computer.
  • If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

Step 3

              Disconnecting the Battery               
  • Lift the black cable-release clip to release the battery cable from the connector on the system board and disconnect the battery cable.

              Remove Battery Screws               
  • Remove the screws that secure the battery to the computer.

Remove the screws that secure the battery to the computer.

Step 5

              Lift the Battery               
  • Lift the battery up and away from the computer.
  • If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

              Disconnecting the Speaker               
  • Disconnect the speaker and system board cables from the audio board.

              Remove the Screws               
  • Remove the screws that secure the audio board and the hard drive to the computer.

Remove the screws that secure the audio board and the hard drive to the computer.

Step 8

              Lifting the Hard Drive and Audio Board               
  • Lift and remove the hard drive and audio board assembly from the computer.

Lift and remove the hard drive and audio board assembly from the computer.

Step 9

              Sliding the Audio Board               
  • Slide the audio board from the hard drive.

              Remove the Screws               
  • Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive.

Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive.

Step 11

              Removing the Hard Drive               
  • Remove the hard drive from the hard-drive bracket.
  • If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

Remove the hard drive from the hard-drive bracket.
