Step 1
Removing the Battery
- Turn the computer over.
- Slide the battery-bay release latch and the battery-lock latch towards the outer edges.
- Slide the battery out of the battery bay.
- Turn the computer top-side up, open the display, and press the power button to ground the system board.
- If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

- Remove the two screws on the module cover.

Lifting the Cover
- Lift the cover off the computer at an angle as shown in the figure.
- If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

Remove Solid-State Drive
- Remove the two screws that secure the solid-state drive.
- Lift the solid-state drive out of its system board connector.
