Remove the Screws
- Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer.

- Pry the base cover along the edges to loosen it.

Removing the Base Cover
- Lift and remove the base cover from the computer.
- If this is all you are doing Follow Step In Reverse if not Go to Next Step.

Disconnecting the Battery Cable
- Disconnect the battery cable from its connector on the system board.

Release the Tabs
- Release the tabs that secure the battery in the battery bay.

Removing the Battery
- Lift and remove the battery from the computer.

- Lift the hard drive assembly in an upward direction to release it from its compartment on the computer. Remove the hard drive from the computer.

- Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the hard drive assembly.
- Lift and remove the hard drive from the hard drive assembly.
