  • Slide the battery and remove it from the computer.

  • Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer.

              Lifting the Base Cover
  • Lift up the base cover and remove it from the computer.

  • Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive assembly to the computer.

              Lifting the Hard-Drive Assembly
  • Pull up on the black hard-drive release tab and lift the hard-drive assembly up and away from the computer.

              Remove the Screws
  • Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive.

              Lifting the Hard-Drive Bracket
  • Lift the hard-drive bracket up and away from the hard drive.
