              Removing the Battery               
  • Slide and click the battery release latches to keep them open.
  • Slide the battery out of the bay.

              Removing the Hinge Cover               
  • Insert a plastic scribe into the indent to lift the hinge cover on the right side.
  • Ease the hinge cover up, moving from right to left, and remove it.

Step 3

              Removing the Keyboard               
  • Remove the four screws at the top of the keyboard.
  • NOTICE: The keycaps on the keyboard are fragile, easily dislodged, and timeconsuming to replace. Be careful when removing and handling the keyboard.
  • Slide the keyboard toward the back of the computer to disengage the notch on the keyboard from the tab on the base of the computer.
  • Lift and remove the keyboard.

              Removing the Memory Module               
  • NOTICE: To prevent damage to the memory module connector, do not use tools to spread the memory-module securing clips.
  • Use your fingertips to carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end of the memory module connector until the module pops up.
  • Remove the memory module from the connector.
