What you need
Step 1
Battery
- Slide the release latch to unlock the battery [1].
- Remove the battery from the computer [2].

Optical-Disk Drive
- Remove the screw that secures the optical drive to the computer [1].
- Using a plastic scribe push the tab to release the optical drive [2].
- Slide the optical drive out of the computer [3].

KeyBoard
- Release the keyboard by prying on the keyboard release tabs by using a scribe.

- Slide and lift the keyboard to access the keyboard connector cable under the keyboard [1,2].

- Disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board [1].
- Lift the keyboard cable to remove it from the computer [2].

Base Cover
- Disconnect the optical drive connector and lift it to remove it from the system board [1,2]
- Remove the screws inside the palmrest [3].

- Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer [1].
- Pry the edges of base cover and lift it to remove it from computer [2].

Hard Drive
- Disconnect the hard drive cable from the connector on the system board [1, 2].
- Remove the screws that secure the hard drive assembly to the computer [3].
- Lift the hard drive assembly away from the computer [4].
Disconnect the hard drive cable from the connector on the system board [1, 2].
Remove the screws that secure the hard drive assembly to the computer [3].
Lift the hard drive assembly away from the computer [4].
Step 9
Hard Drive Bracket
- Pull the hard drive cable connector to remove it from the hard drive [1].
- Remove the screws that secure the hard drive bracket to the hard drive [2].
- Lift the hard drive from the hard drive bracket [3].
Pull the hard drive cable connector to remove it from the hard drive [1].
Remove the screws that secure the hard drive bracket to the hard drive [2].
Lift the hard drive from the hard drive bracket [3].
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
