              Base Cover               
  • Open the system badge flap over to reveal the screws underneath (marked 1 on the image).
  • Remove the 12 screws that secure the base cover to the computer.

  • Pry the edges base cover and lift it to remove it from computer.

              RAM               
  • Chose which RAM board you will be replacing on the motherboard.
  • There are two next to each other. One is outlined here.

Step 4

  • Place fingers on black plastic tabs.
  • Bend the tabs slightly away from the RAM board until the RAM board springs upward.

Step 5

  • Once the RAM board springs up to an elevated angle as pictured here, gently grab the board.
  • Pull the board (in the direction shown) out of its slot where it is still inserted .

Step 6

  • If replacing both RAM boards, follow the same process for removal of the other RAM board.
  • The other board is directly to the right of the prior pictured one, and identical. Both are outlined in this picture.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
