              Remove battery and base cover
  • Before performing this task, make sure you turn off the computer and disconnect every external drive from it, whether it’s a USB drive, power charger, or wireless adapter.

              Open retention clips
  • Open the retention clips away from the memory chip.

  • Remove the memory chip from the computer.

  • Put a new memory chip in the memory socket.

              Push in memory clips; second chip installed
