              Remove battery and base cover
  • Before performing this task, make sure you turn off the computer and disconnect every external drive from it, whether it’s a USB drive, power charger, or wireless adapter.

              Take off coin-cell battery
  • Disconnect the coin-cell cable from its connector on the system board [1].
  • Pry the coin-cell to remove from the computer [2].

              Plug in coin-cell time battery
  • Plug in the coin-cell time battery’s cable to its system board connector.
