              Removing the back plate               
  • Before performing this task, make sure you turn off the computer and disconnect everything from it.
  • Remove the battery from the computer by sliding the release latch.
  • Remove the computer cover by unscrewing the two screws highlighted in the picture.

Step 2

              Locating and removing CMOS Battery               
  • Disconnect the CMOS battery from its connector and remove from the system board.
  • Replace the battery by plugging the connector to the board and placing the battery in the correct position.
  • If you want to reset the BIOS, press and hold the power button for 10-20 seconds to drain residual power.
