              Remove battery and base cover               
  • Shut down your computer. Disconnect all power sources before opening the computer cover or panels.
  • Remove the battery and base cover from the computer.

              Open clips to put in new memory chip               
  • Open up the clips away from the memory chip until it pops up out of its slot. Take out the memory clip from the system board’s connector.

              Put in new memory chip               
  • Put the new memory chip into the memory chip’s socket.

              Put back the battery and base cover               
  • Put the battery and base cover back on the computer.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
