What you need

              1. Remove battery               
  • Slide the latches on the battery and remove the battery.

              Remove Hard Drive Screws               
  • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove to the screws that secure the hard drive from the hard drive caddy.

Step 3

              Remove The Hard Drive               
  • Slide the hard drive out of the laptop. DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPONENTS OF THE DRIVE. Doing so could damage the drive. Protect yourself by touching an unpainted metal surface, such as the metal at the back of the computer. While you work, periodically touch an unpainted metal surface to dissipate static electricity.

Step 4

              Insert New Hard Drive               
  • Insert your new drive in to the hard drive caddy. Again, make sure you do not touch the components of the drive. After this, perform the steps above in reverse order.

Step 5

              Turn On Your Device               
  • After properly reassembling your device, your new hard drive should be installed. Great job.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order and power on your device.
