Introduction
Before using this guide, make sure that the problem with your laptop originates from the battery, as some issues with battery life can be due to other factors. There are multiple tools to check this, such as Windows’s Battery Report.
Before beginning, make sure your laptop is not plugged in and is powered off. Step 4 of the guide will go over reinserting the battery. Take care to not force the battery in or puncture it in any way.
What you need

- Flip the laptop over, so that the latches next to the battery are visible.

- Pull the two latches next to the battery in opposite directions.
- There should be a clicking noise made when this step is complete.

- Carefully lift the back of the battery and take it out of the laptop.

- Push the back of the new battery into the slot, and push downwards carefully.
