Step 1

              Remove the battery and memory module cover.               
  • Remove the battery cable connector from the connector on the system board.

              Raise corner of plastic sleeve above the battery; pull battery out.               
  • Being careful not to break the plastic, slightly raise the corner of the plastic sleeve above the battery.
  • While holding the plastic sleeve, grasp the battery and pull it out of the battery compartment.

Step 3

              Insert new coin-cell battery into sleeve; connect cable connector to system board.               
  • Install the new coin-cell battery into the plastic sleeve.
  • Connect the cable connector to the system board.

Step 4

              Install the keyboard & base cover.               
  • Reinstall the keyboard and hinge cover.
