- CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on your computer).
- CAUTION: Hard drives are extremely fragile. Exercise care when handling the hard drive.

Step 2
Remove the Screws
- Remove the four screws that secure the hard-drive assembly.

Lifting the Hard Drive Assembly
- Turn the computer over and lift the hard-drive assembly out of the hard-drive bay to disconnect the hard-drive assembly from the connector on the system board.

Disconnect the Interposer
- Pull the interposer to disconnect it from the hard drive.

Connect the Interposer
- Connect the interposer to the NEW hard drive.

Step 6
Align the Hard Drive Assembly
- Align the hard-drive assembly with the connector on the system board and press the hard-drive assembly into the hard-drive bay until it is fully seated.

Replace the Screws
- Turn the computer over and replace the four screws that secure the hard-drive assembly.
