Introduction

RAM acts as a temporary memory bank in order to improve multitasking and overall device performance. Without RAM, your computer would be unable to run or process information, resulting in the computer not being able boot up.

Make sure to power off your laptop completely and disconnect from any external power source prior to beginning the process.

What you need

Step 1

              RAM               
  • Flip the laptop over to its backside.
  • Loosen the two Phillips #1 screws to remove the tray.
  • The screws stay in the tray.

Step 2

  • Lift up the tray from the right side.
  • The RAM is located in the bottom right.

Step 3

  • Push down the pins on either side of the RAM to unhook them.

Step 4

  • Carefully lift and pull the Ram out to remove it.
  • Repeat steps 3 and 4 to remove the second RAM.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 to remove the second RAM.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
