- Flip the laptop so the battery is facing upwards.
- Push the battery release tabs toward the center of the device.
- Remove the battery.

Keyboard
- Remove the two countersunk keyboard screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

- Lift up the keyboard using your fingers or a plastic opening tool.
- Potential for device damage: Do not tear the ribbon cable hidden behind the keyboard.
- Disconnect the cable by sliding the connector ears outward.

Speaker
- After removing the keyboard, use the plastic opening tool or other form of leverage to remove the rest of the silver casing.
- Depending on your model, there could still be some hidden screws on the bottom case of the laptop that hold the palm-rest in place.

- Use a plastic tool to carefully pry the silver portion front of the top away from the colored portion.

- Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the two small screws at the bottom corners of the speaker assembly.
- Keep track of where you put the screws after you remove them. Keep screws of the same size together and away from screws of different sizes.

- Slide out the cables connected to the speakers and the base below the keyboard.
- Remove the speakers from the laptop.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
