The laptop will not respond or show any sign of powering up

Ensure the power adapter is plugged in and the charge light is on. If the light is not on, and the adapter is plugged in, the adapter is faulty. Consider purchasing a replacement adapter.

If the power adapter is plugged in, and the light on the adapter is on, make sure the adapter is connect to the laptop. If the laptop only powers up when the adapter is plugged in, regardless of charging time, then the battery is faulty. Replace the battery using our battery replacement guide.

The Kindle is a relatively simple device in that it does not contain many components. Through process of elimination, faulty parts can be narrowed down easily. If the Kindle does not turn on after the previous steps, it is likely that the motherboard needs to be replaced.

The keys on your keyboard won’t respond or appear to be broken

If the entire keyboard fails to respond, try replacing it with our keyboard replacement guide.

The monitor on your Inspiron 7568 does not respond to touch and display remains the same.

Use Dell’s “Detect PC” tool here. Select “Drivers & Downloads” and ensure that your touch drivers are up to date.

If updating your drivers does not restore touch functionality, it is possible that the display assembly needs to be replaced.

While you are working, your computer randomly shuts off without notification.

Computers can overheat due to excessive dust and other materials stuck in the vents or fan. To fix this, use a compressed air duster to carefully blow the dust off the vents and fan.

If the fan shows no sign of turning on when the computer is powered on, you may need to replace it.
