What you need

              Removing battery
  • Remove the battery by sliding and holding the battery release latch.
  • Make sure your computer is turned off and unplugged.

              Open display
  • Open the display 180 degrees.

  • Use a plastic flat screwdriver to slide the hinge caps away from the computer.

  • Detach the two display latches on the back of the computer.

  • Use plastic flat screwdriver to carefully pry up the latches on either side of the hinge cover

  • Carefully, lift the hinge cover from the main unit and remove it from the main unit.
