              Disconnecting the cable
  • Lift the latch and disconnect the hard-drive cable from the system board.

              Removing the screws
  • Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive assembly to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.

              Lifting the hard-drive assembly
  • Lift the hard-drive assembly from the palm rest and keyboard assembly.

              Sliding the cable to connector
  • Slide the hard-drive cable into the connector on the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
