Dell Inspiron 17-5748 will not turn on after pushing the power button.
The laptop may be out of power. Plug in the power adapter and make sure the charge light comes on. If it does not, the power adapter may be faulty. Consider buying a new power adapter.
If the laptop only powers on when the adapter is plugged in, the battery might be faulty. Follow this guide to replace the battery.
If the laptop does not power on but gives two beeps, this refers to a memory error and the RAM needs to be replaced. Follow this guide to replace the RAM.
Dell Inspiron 17-5748 successfully powers on, but Windows does not boot.
If no hard drive is recognized by the BIOS, there may be a connection error to the hard drive. Shut down the laptop and secure all connections to the hard drive. If Windows still does not boot when a hard drive is recognized, use a Windows recovery disk to repair the hard drive.
CD’s and DVD’s not recognized by Dell Inspiron 17-5748
If CD’s and DVD’s aren’t being read by Windows or if the optical drive fails to open, it may be faulty. It may need to be replaced.

It’s possible that the speakers’ drivers may have an error. First ensure that the speakers are properly selected. Go to the taskbar at the bottom of your display and right-click the volume icon. Click on playback devices and make sure that your laptop speakers are the default and test the speakers. If there is still no audio, update the drivers for the speakers.
