Step 1

              Lifting the Hard Drive Assembly               

• WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer and follow the steps in “Before You Begin”. After working inside your computer, follow the instructions in “After Working Inside Your Computer”.
• Lift the hard-drive assembly to disconnect it from the system board and remove the hard-drive assembly from the computer base.

Lift the hard-drive assembly to disconnect it from the system board and remove the hard-drive assembly from the computer base.

Step 2

              Remove the Screws               

• Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the hard-drive bracket.

Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the hard-drive bracket.

Step 3

              Lifting the Hard Drive               

• Lift the hard drive out of the hard-drive bracket.

Step 4

              Placing the Hard Drive               

• Place the NEW hard drive into the hard-drive bracket.

Step 5

              Align the Screw Holes               

• Align the screw holes on the hard-drive bracket with the screw holes on the hard drive.

Step 6

              Replace the Screws               

• Replace the screws that secure the hard drive to the hard-drive bracket.

Step 7

              Placing the Hard-Drive Assembly               

• Place the hard-drive assembly on the computer base.

              Sliding the Hard-Drive Assembly               

• Slide the hard-drive assembly toward the back of the computer, to connect the hard-drive assembly to the connector on the system board.
