Step 1

              Turn over the Computer               
  • WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer. Follow the procedures in Before You Begin.
  • CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface.
  • Turn the computer upside down on a clean, flat surface.

              Clicking the Battery Release Latch               
  • Slide and click the battery release latch.

Slide and click the battery release latch.

              Sliding the Battery               
  • Slide the battery out of the battery bay.

Slide the battery out of the battery bay.

              Sliding the Battery               
  • Slide the NEW battery into the battery bay, and push to click the battery into place.
