Keyboard
- Use the Jimmy to pry and detach the keyboard from the laptop at the following locations.
- Lift the keyboard from the top and gently detach it from the bottom end.
- Be careful not to pull too quickly in order to avoid damage to the keyboard connector ribbon cables.

Step 2
- Detach the smaller ribbon cable from the laptop connector base by gently pulling upward on the connector base. This will free the ribbon cable.
- Detach the larger ribbon cable from the laptop connector base in the same manner as the first. This will completely detach the keyboard from the laptop.
- Be careful when detaching and removing the ribbon cables so as not to tear or damage them.
